Quzhou Huayou Cobalt New Material Co., Ltd. and Guangxi Huayou New Material Co., Ltd. electro-nickel took the lead in passing the Mineral Supply Chain Due Diligence Management Assessment, and China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Minerals and Chemicals (CCCMC) issued the Mineral Supply Chain Due Diligence Management Assessment Grade A Certificate.

Huayou has been building an ESG and sustainable development management system since 2015, with due diligence management of the mineral supply chain as an important part of the ESG management system. Huayou is well aware that sustainable development is the common task and mission of the whole industrial chain, and that it requires a unified awareness and common action of the upstream and downstream of the whole industry and all the related parties. As a founding member of the Responsible Care of Critical Minerals Initiative (RCI) and a vice-chairman of the Decision-making Committee, Huayou is focusing on "partnership building" and actively participates in the construction of industry standards and action programmes.

The Company is committed to improving its management system in strict accordance with the "China Mineral Supply Chain Due Diligence Management Guidelines" and the "OECD Supply Chain Due Diligence Guidelines", and has formulated the "Policy on Responsible Global Mineral Supply Chains from High-Risk Regions", "Supplier Standards for Responsible Mineral Sourcing" and "Supplier Code of Conduct". Meanwhile, we have set up a "Mineral Supply Chain Due Diligence Management Team" under the ESG and Sustainable Development Management Committee at the Group level to co-ordinate and manage the due diligence management of the Company's mineral supply chain, thus improving the Company's risk management and control of the mineral supply chain.

Looking ahead, Huayou will continue to implement ESG concepts, build a green and transparent sustainable mineral supply chain, and help promote and disseminate excellent practices in the supply chain due diligence management industry.
